Spredo ("we", "us", "our") is a content repurposing tool that helps you turn blog posts into social media content. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our website at spredo.app and our services.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

  • Account Information: Your name, email address, and password when you create an account.
  • Content You Provide: Blog posts, articles, or URLs you submit for content generation. We process this content to provide our service and may store generated outputs in your history.
  • Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, generation counts, and other interaction data to improve our service.
  • Device & Log Data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and referring URLs collected automatically through server logs.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our content repurposing service.
  • Process your content through AI to generate social media posts.
  • Manage your account, subscription, and generation history.
  • Send transactional emails (account verification, password resets).
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve the product.
  • Prevent abuse, fraud, and enforce our Terms of Service.

4. Payment Processing

All payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as our Merchant of Record. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment card details. Lemon Squeezy handles all payment processing, sales tax collection, and billing. Your payment information is subject to Lemon Squeezy's Privacy Policy.

5. AI Content Processing

When you submit content for generation, it is sent to third-party AI providers (such as Anthropic) for processing. We send only the content necessary to generate your social media posts. We do not use your content to train AI models. The AI provider's processing is subject to their respective privacy policies and data processing agreements.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

  • Lemon Squeezy: Payment processing and subscription management (as data processor).
  • AI Providers: Content processing for generation (content only, no personal data beyond what's in your submitted text).
  • Analytics: We use PostHog for product analytics. Data is aggregated and used to improve the service.
  • Legal Requirements: If required by law, regulation, or legal process.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active.

  • Pro users: Source text and generated outputs are stored permanently in your generation history. Voice profile data (writing samples and trained style) is stored for the duration of your subscription.
  • Free users: Generated content is automatically deleted 24 hours after creation. When you create a new generation, any previous generations are deleted. We do not retain free-tier content long-term.
  • Calendar posts: Remain accessible after downgrade in read-only mode.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
  • Export your data in a portable format.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing activities.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
